Robert Lee Jackson, Jr. was born August 29, 1976, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, and is the youngest of six children. Robert attended Edison High School in Minneapolis, MN, before his parents transferred him to The Minnesota Center for Arts Education High School (now Perpich Center for Arts Education). Robert’s education and experience at PCAE enhanced his knowledge and appreciation of visual arts. It increased his exposure to a variety of artwork from various cultures and opened up opportunities for him to exhibit his work. Upon graduation, Robert was blessed with the opportunity to work with several mentors who supported his talents. Robert considers himself fortunate to have worked on projects with Dr. John Biggers and lecturing on art with Gordan Parks at the Minnesota Historical Museum. Robert attended the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul, Minnesota, and later received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2005 from Prescott College. Robert's art reflects his passion for family, culture, music, and his spiritual upbringing. Currently, Robert resides in Tucson, Arizona.
